Revisionist history has a bit more of a hook and is a much busier song overall. A night contrast to the ebb and flow of the first song. The final song Tempering has a very slow lofi start. It almost feels like it's off in the distance somewhere. About a third of the way it explodes with great force with faster paced drumming, loud guitars, and screaming. Another song with a defined hook that doesn't use it as a crutch. It works because of this and will stay stuck in your head long after the EP has come to an end.
Visitors have delivered on to this planet three solid and tightly crafted songs with their Vortices EP. It feels like taking a journey into another world. There's layers of atmosphere other bands only dream about. I certainly can't wait to hear more from the band since the only issue with the album is the non-issue of it being too short, it left me wanting more, which if that's the worst thing I can say about the EP then that's just fine.
