The second track I Had An Error starts off with a bit of an odd intro that sounds like it's coming out of an old radio. The song is a mix of aggressive punk and almost post grunge stylings. When I say this band is weird this is a song that perfectly exemplifies that. You can skip to a part that is catchy vocals over distorted guitars and then you can flash to a part that is just screaming and fast drumming it's great!
Now normally I complain about production being rough but here the low fi sound and distortion works and lends itself to their do it yourself sound. I love that about this album. It's not a detriment in fact just the opposite. Something wouldn't sound quite right if it were overly mixed or polished.
If you ever thought punk rock is a bit boring for you spice it up with a bit of weirdness from The Surrealists. They kind of mix so many different things together and then some. It's aggressive, it's funky, it's catchy, it's good. It's hard to find any bands really like them although the closest I would say would be old Foxy Shazam and Rolo Tomassi to a degree but even then, I really think they're in a category all their own.
