These songs have a way of digging themselves into your brain and staying stuck in your heads for weeks after you've finished listening to this EP for the hundredth time in row. Right from the opening moments of the first track called This Is Now you really hear the way this bands creates something wonderful. The guitars carrying everything forward, the vocals so smooth crooning out "I'm not like you", the drumming keeping everything packed together, and the bass providing some punch. It's hard to pick a real standout track when everything is so good. If a gun was to my head and I had to choose I would probably pick We Shall Meet In A Place Where There Is No Darkness just because the way it calms itself and then explodes there's a nice pacing to it all.
Like I said it sucks to find something so packed full of talent, that's worst crime is that it leaves you wanting more, only to find out there is no more coming. This band may have only had a brief existence but the one EP that came from it is a gem. This genre is so crowded that it's hard to find any band that even stands out enough but Myself In Mirrors is that band. I may sound like I'm gushing and it's because I am. Take a listen to this album and give it a chance.
