The fact that this album/band's influences are so obvious is it's strength but it's unfortunately also a downside as well. This album never really does anything to stand out, it stays in it's comfort zone, even the aforementioned ballad Give It All is fairly by the books for pop punk at this point. While this doesn't detract from the amount of fun I had listening to this album it doesn't bode well for the longevity of this album.
So did I like this album? Absolutely while not every song was hit for me and I felt that it's a bit derivative at times I still had a lot of fun with this album In a lot of ways it's a departure from the more serious sadboy pop punk that we've been getting and a throwback to the poppunk we got in the 90's, although not quite as silly. If you're a fan of pop punk it's definitely worth a listen.
