It's definitely not as heavy as previous album and is more accessible as an album. This is one of the rare times I would say being more accessible has actually improved a band. This mix of industrial, death-core, and nu-metal, all while bordering on pop, works perfectly for the band. Everything just comes together nicely and consistently. There are some odd moments like the song Puppets 3 which try to channel black metal all while mixing it with the electronics of industrial, it's not necessarily bad but it's just odd. Reincarnate represents a solid direction for the band and it would be nice to see them try an continue the sound.
If you're the type of person who nit-picks everything they listen to and can't get it up without technical guitar work, out of this world drumming, and deep lyrics Motionless In White and Reincarnate are not for you. However if you like entertaining dark horror-esq lyrics, decent riffs, awesome electronics, and nostalgia Reincarnate is right up your ally. This album is entertaining to say the least. It helped me survive a 4 hour plane ride and it's something the band should keep up.
