Lyrically the band has a way of making such simple ideas and concepts sound powerful and endearing. They also aren't afraid of being brutally honest and confronting issues other groups wouldn't even dare to touch. One such song is Link In Bio an ode to a common Instagram tag. The song is takes on issues of how women are treated in the scene and in society in general. It talks about the idea of a girl being 'fun' only if she's basically submissive. Closing the song is the line is "I know what I want so please fuck off" which leads to the last part repeated several times. It's unapologetic which is the tone for the album and for the band in general.
The songs are unapologetic, bold, brash, and straightforward. They range between emotional heavy hitters and lighter, peppier, bops. One thing the band did right in transitioning from a collection of songs or an EP to a full length album is they didn't change the formula that made them successful. They only improved on it and expanded. It's amazing to hear the sound they crafted with only two members. This a great place to start with the band and they're absolutely worth checking out. They are in fact very good at this.
