The riffs on this album hit hard and fast and yet the band knows when to slow things down. It's all chaos but it's not always going a million miles an hour. The song Feed Him Gravel starts off grimy with a lot of false starts until it opens up into a bouncy riff about halfway through just to go right back. Easily the best track off the album is Dead Breath featuring some of the only clean vocals, it works really well juxtaposed against the heavy groovy riff that powers the the song.
The entire album is thrashy, gritty, and real. It really feels like the band took their time to write full songs and pack them full of great moments. While it's easy to hear the influences of the greats that have come before them Bungler are doing their own thing completely and have the talent to pull it off. The Nature Of Being New handles the chaos of hardcore with finesse.
