If you've been following the site, or social media, you're sure to have seen me mention Hot Gospel. I talk about them a lot because I feel they really deserve it. One of my all time favorite bands was The Chariot, and Hot Gospel are like The Chariot combined with my other favorite band, Every Time I Die, mixed with some good old fashioned rock and roll. They're a band that really stands out in a sea of hardcore and deathcore bands that are seemingly trying to compete with each other to see who can write the longest breakdown. Unfortunately I never really get a chance to see them since they usually play four or more hours away from me at the closest. However last night they played a show close to me so I made the drive up to see if they were as good live as they are recorded. So what did I think? Was it really Hot Gospel? Or was it just Hot Trash?
